Stick around for posts on a wide range of topics.

Hello, and welcome.

Welcome to my blog, and to the first post.

Marvin Lopez Acevedo - June 14th, 2026

From here on out, I'll be documenting my thoughts on topics ranging from artificial intelligence, physics, geosciences, space, society, gaming, and more. I've been doing an awful lot of academic + personal writing in my life these days, and a personal blog felt like the right place to present some of these ideas in a polished fashion.

Oftentimes, the topics that interest me come and go. They are interconnected to varying degrees. In my journaling, I often refer to ideas drafted weeks or months prior, usually in a moment of hyper-fixation. Exactly what captures my curiosity is in constant flux. I expect this blog to reflect that reality. Occasionally, I may try to synthesize series of posts into larger interest groups. Outside of that, my posts will try to discuss only a few key points in each, building from observations towards a discussion, and ending with a concise summary. I hope for these posts to be, at the minimum, interesting to some. However, my larger hope is that some of these posts will invite discussion outside of this website based around the same or similar topics.

Currently, I'm wrapping up a Masters thesis in Nashville, Tennessee, and developing custom software to assist me in creating scientific visualizations and organizing results from my research. I've also been experimenting with using coding agents for designing entire sites and local desktop apps for scientific workflows generally, with the goal of eventually making these tools open-source. The next few posts will touch on some of these projects and on the very process that's enabled me to construct them: agentic engineering.
